RAYA EMAS : SALAKO SACRED TREASURE
Dadi Cinema, Pavillion, Kuala Lumpur – The Malaysian premiere of “Raya Emas – Salako Sacred Treasure” has been a huge success, not only captivating audiences with its stunning visuals, compelling storyline, and strong screenplay, but also shining a strong spotlight on Sarawak’s extraordinary tourism potential.
The premiere on March 24, which was attended by cast members Winson Voon, Dunstun Luther Junior, Nina KSC, Marc Benjamin was also attended by Special Guest, Finas Deputy Chairman En Noor Azam Shair. Executive Producer, Winson Voon said, the film Raya Emas – Salako Sacred Treasure is not only, but also showcases the cinematic beauty and traditions of the Salako community in Sarawak.
“At the same time, I would like to express my deep appreciation for the support of the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts, emphasizing the ministry’s important role in realizing this project. “In fact, the ministry also emphasized the potential of this film to attract international tourists by showcasing Sarawak’s unique attractions to global audiences,” he said.
“With this joint venture, it has the potential to make Sarawak a major destination for international film production and, in turn, strengthen the tourism sector,” he said. Raya Emas – Salako Sacred Treasure combines the stories of Zul (played by Executive Producer, brother Winson Voon), a desperate father; Ansamah (played by Dunstun Luther), an adopted child who is trying to prove her worth as the guardian of Salako, Raya Emas; and a group of young explorers led by Diana (played by Ahirine Ahirudin), a girl with extraordinary powers of divination.

According to Winson, the film was shot (80%) in the stunning landscape of Lundu, Sarawak. “Raya Emas – Salako Sacred Treasure” takes viewers into the heart of the Borneo rainforest. In addition, he added that the film, which features (90%) actors from Sarawak, serves as a strong platform to showcase local talent and strengthen the local film industry. Although the film’s storyline about the ‘Raya Emas’, a type of golden flower with extraordinary healing powers, is a fictional story, the film portrays the authentic culture and traditions of the Salako community, providing a unique insight into Sarawak, which is rich in diverse heritage.
“By supporting films like this, we are together investing in the future of Sarawak’s tourism and fostering economic growth in the state. This film aims to position Sarawak as a top choice for film production and a must-visit destination for tourists around the world,” he said.
