6 JILAKE: A FOLK COMEDY FILM FULL OF SOUL, JOKE & MALAY SILAAT

The latest film titled 6 Jilake combines elements of action, adventure and comedy in a cinematic treat full of local cultural identity and historical stories inspired by real events from the 18th century.

 

Eartistic Entertainment under the leadership of Dr. Shasa Aziz as producer in collaboration with Primeworks Studio as distributor and marketing partner presents a great line-up of actors such as Amerul Affendi, Saiful Apek, Bel Ngasri, Asmidar, Kazar Saizi, Kamarool Hj Yusof, Jalil Hamid, Wan Raja, Mamak Puteh, Wan Gegau and many more, who will amaze the audience with comedy and acting performances full of action and humor.

Interestingly, each character in the 6 Jilake group has their own fighting style, with weapons inspired by local culture such as Kayu Selengan Kembar, Tekpi, and Nanchaku Tahi Besi 1000 Tahun. The opponents’ actions are full of Malay martial arts styles and weapons adding an element of diversity to each fight. The names of their group members are also very unique as they feature the heritage of local cakes such as Pulut Panggang, Kole Kacang, Badak Berendam, Tatnanas, Bingka Ubi, and Nagasari, which gives this film a deep and interesting cultural touch.
