‘MALAIKAT MALAM’ BRINGS NEW BREATH TO MOTORCYCLE AND LOVE ACTION FILM

Kuala Lumpur, 25 March 2026 – Combining adrenaline-filled high-speed action with a love story, the film Malaikat Malam is the latest venture from four leading Malaysian producers, Viper Studios, Skop Productions, Astro Shaw and Primeworks Studios, which will rock cinemas nationwide starting 26 March.
This film focuses on the journey of a ‘motorcyclist’ who faces a dilemma between the life that shapes him and the dream of getting out of that situation. At the same time, the presence of someone who becomes a ‘light’ in his life opens up space for unexpected changes. Different from other ‘rempit’ films that focus solely on motorcycle action, Malaikat Malam also emphasizes the relationships between characters, especially about loyalty and sacrifice that can influence a person’s life purpose. This narrative reflects the reality that every individual has the opportunity to change their life for the better even in a world that is viewed negatively.

Malaikat Malam features versatile actor Syafiq Kyle as Azam, a street racer with emotional conflicts behind a risky life. Through the character of Azam, Syafiq Kyle for the first time takes on the challenge of portraying the character of a ‘mat rempit’, showing a bolder and different acting transformation from his previous appearances. Also featuring a solid cast, including Tracie Sinidol as a blind girl, who brings a unique dimension to the story, as well as the much-anticipated return of Que Haidar to the silver screen. Other actors who steal the spotlight are Amir Nafis, Kodi Rasheed, Juzzthin, Akmal Asyraf and Riezman Khuzaimi, who promise a combination of energetic and impactful characters.

I also focused on the balance between action and emotion, so that every scene is not only thrilling, but also has soul”
