Under the direction of Syafiq Yusof, a young director who has successfully built an excellent reputation in the country’s film industry, this film promises a fresh and different experience.

 

 

Syafiq Yusof, known for his ability to captivate audiences through strong narratives and stunning visuals, once again proves his skills in handling this new genre. Watching Soloz: Game of Life is like following the life story of a person who turned his passion into a career, transformed challenges into opportunities, and dreams into reality. Interestingly, the film ‘Soloz: Game of Life’ saw rising young actor Hun Haqeem given a big responsibility by portraying the character of Soloz. This choice was felt to be very appropriate because Hun Haqeem’s face has the look of the original Soloz character. Other actors who also strengthened this film include Ikmal Amry, Jaa Suzuran, Hafeez Mikail, Imran Aqil, Syafie Naswip, Wafiy A’an, Noki K-Clique, Fimie Don, Kahoe Hon, Nia Atasha, Ezra Kairo, Fauzi Nawawi, Lisdawati, Arash Mohamad, Anne Abdullah, Luis Amante Penero, Jihaa Sham, Zic Empty Page, Erakad, Gbril and many more. Special cameo appearances by Datuk Remy Ishak and Azizah Mahzan, added to the charm of this story.

 

This film, which is based on the true story of the life of a Malaysian E-sports icon, Muhammad Faris Zakaria or better known as Soloz, offers something very special. Soloz is not just a household name in the E-sports arena, he is a symbol of courage and perseverance in pursuing his dreams. From an ordinary young man from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Soloz has overcome various challenges before successfully carving a name for himself as a professional E-sports player in the world of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. What makes Soloz: Game of Life different from other films is its approach that takes the theme of E-sports so deeply. Soloz in the world of E-sports, where he is one of the earliest professional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players from Malaysia. Soloz’s popularity soared not only because of his talent, but also because he was a pioneer in this game since it was launched by Moonton in September 2016. His success peaked when he represented Malaysia in the 2019 Philippine SEA Games and managed to win a bronze medal.

“It’s a fresh idea and provides something different for local film fans. According to studies, the video game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang records an average of 110 million players each month worldwide,” said Rahila Ali.

 

Along with that, the decision was made to appoint Syafiq Yusof as the director of this film, and he enthusiastically accepted the challenge. Syafiq came up with an interesting idea to direct a genre that was quite different from his previous works. It turns out, he did his best to produce the film “Soloz: Game of Life.”

 

“This film is inspired by a true story about the journey of a teenager known as Soloz in facing the challenges and twists and turns of life as a professional E-Sports player. This film explores the aspirations of young people, the spirit of loyalty among friends, and the love of parents,” said Syafiq.

 

The film Soloz: Game of Life received cooperation from Moonton to ensure that the storyline and concept did not deviate from the original vision. The film director, Syafiq, emphasized the technical aspects and video game elements through discussions with Moonton to ensure that all game guidelines were followed correctly. In the production of this film, Syafiq introduced special effects elements through computer-generated imagery (CGI) in collaboration with Frame Motion Studio. Meanwhile, Skop Productions acted as the official distributor of this film. The launch of the Soloz: Game of Life Premier Gala Night held at Starling Mall PJ was lively with the presence of many actors, special guests, and media representatives who were eager to see Syafiq’s latest work.
