SYNOPSIS

Kit, age 7, is a deaf girl living in a small kampong in Kuala Selangor, known for its firefly inhabitants. Her parents struggle financially; her father is a boatman for firefly tours. Although her mother wants Kit to learn sign language and attend school, Kit is shy and prefers the solitude of nature. Her life begins to change when she encounters a firefly that seems to communicate with her through its blinking and flight patterns.
