A comedy that will break your heart

 

As a psychological horror film with elements of comedy, ParaXnormal offers a fresh approach that enriches the local horror genre. Produced by Nanord Studio Production, the film combines elements of horror, psychology, dark comedy and friendship conflicts. Its producer, Nurul Ain Nordin, said that ParaXnormal is not just a story about supernatural creatures, but rather explores the dark side of human nature such as greed, revenge and betrayal.

The inspiration for this script came unexpectedly during a casual conversation with my friend, actor and screenwriter Epy Kodiang who also stars in this film. We had previously collaborated on a horror comedy script. Paraxnormal tells the story of four close friends who accidentally experience various creepy incidents while trying to rob a mysterious villa that is said to be haunted, but contains more than RM10 million worth of treasure.

 

A powerful combination of actors to make us laugh out loud

 

As a producer, Ain hopes that ParaXnormal, which will be screened in cinemas nationwide starting August 28, 2025, will receive a positive response from audiences and stand as one of the local horror films that can leave a deep impression.

 

He explained that with a combination of actors from various backgrounds and generations, they managed to create such incredible harmony that it made ParaXnormal a fresh, competitive script that is worth watching on the silver screen.

 

Commenting further on the film’s production journey, Ain explained that ParaXnormal was initially planned as a Super Telemovie in 2023. However, after assessing the strength of its potential storyline and commercial value, the decision was finally made to bring this work to the silver screen as a full-length film.

 

As a producer, Ain hopes that ParaXnormal, which will be screened in cinemas nationwide starting August 28, 2025, will receive a positive response from audiences and stand as one of the local horror films that can leave a deep impression.
