TIKET SEHALA CELEBRATED AT GALA PREMIERE, SET TO HIT CINEMAS ON 6 AUGUST

KUALA LUMPUR, 29 July 2026 – Tiket Sehala, a survival thriller produced by Key Billions Sdn. Bhd., was celebrated at its Gala Premiere held today at TGV Cinemas, Sunway Pyramid, ahead of its nationwide theatrical release on 6 August 2026.

The event brought together the film’s cast, production team, business partners, invited guests, and members of the media for the premiere screening of the film, directed and produced by Rahila Ali. Inspired by real-life cases of job scams and human trafficking, Tiket Sehala presents a gripping survival story that is not only emotionally powerful but also carries meaningful messages about hope, sacrifice, and the true value of freedom.

The gala was further enlivened by the attendance of both local and international cast members. The film features actors from Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia, and was filmed across Malaysia and South Korea.

THE CAST OF TIKET SEHALA

According to director and producer Rahila Ali, the gala premiere marks a significant milestone after nearly a year of work on the film.

After a long journey of bringing Tiket Sehala to life, we are finally able to share it with audiences. Today is a truly meaningful moment for us because it represents the dedication and commitment of everyone involved from the very beginning of the production. The film is inspired by issues that are happening in real life, and we wanted to present them through an intense and suspenseful narrative. Beyond the thrills, it is also a story about hope, sacrifice, and the value of freedom. We hope this film will open audiences’ eyes to a reality that many may not be aware of. If viewers leave the cinema feeling more informed and more cautious about these issues, then we have achieved our goal.”

Rahila also acknowledged that producing Tiket Sehala was far from easy, particularly as a large portion of the filming took place in South Korea. She explained that the challenges included obtaining filming permits, managing logistics, dealing with unpredictable weather conditions, and coordinating between the Malaysian and South Korean production teams, each with different working cultures.

“Of course, there were moments when things did not go as planned, and we had to make important decisions within a very short period. However, I believe every challenge is part of the filmmaking process. What I am most grateful for is the commitment shown by the entire production team. Without their hard work and cooperation, this film would not have been completed and presented to audiences today.”

Meanwhile, Executive Producer Eddie Yap said that job scams and human trafficking remain serious issues affecting many countries, including Malaysia. He expressed hope that Tiket Sehala would serve as a platform to raise public awareness about the dangers of fraudulent overseas job offers.

“We frequently hear reports of Malaysians becoming victims of overseas job scam syndicates. Through Tiket Sehala, we hope people will become more vigilant and conduct proper background checks before accepting any employment offer. We also hope the film will not only provide an exciting cinematic experience but also leave audiences with the awareness that every decision they make can have a profound impact on their lives.”

Tiket Sehala follows the story of a group of Malaysians who fall victim to an overseas job scam while seeking employment opportunities in South Korea. Unexpectedly trapped in a life-threatening situation, they are forced to make unimaginable choices in their fight for survival.

The film stars Noki K-Clique, Jaa Suzuran, Sharifah Sakinah, Sheila Mambo, Ardell Aryana, Hasnul Rahmat, Zaki Yamani, Ainee Mustafa, and Saha Champ, alongside an international cast from South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Combining a talented local and international ensemble, filming locations in Malaysia and South Korea, and a story inspired by real-world issues, Tiket Sehala will open in cinemas nationwide on 6 August 2026.
