MUNAJJIM: ALLIES OF THE DEVIL ‘Tell Stories About Black Magic & Shirk Practices’
Horror films are still a favorite among many and often receive a very encouraging response from audiences.
Now, another local horror film is set to hit the silver screen, produced by Yusrych Global Sdn. Bhd, through the film Munajjim: Sekutu Iblis.
Its producer, Yusry Makmor, said the latest film comes with a storyline that is not only scary but also depicts the practices of black magic and shirk that still exist in modern society today.
“This is not just an ordinary horror film because it is inspired by a true story and touches on reality. A society that still relies on black magic and shamanism in finding easy solutions to problems faced by Eka.
“This film is not just about entertaining the audience, but also about raising awareness that the practice of polytheism has a negative impact and that associating with the devil is clearly forbidden,” he said.
Munajjim: Sekutu Iblis takes viewers on a journey through a family who strongly believes in shamanism in their daily lives.

Viewers will be presented with a non-cliché horror story, where the ‘companions’ featured in the film are incarnations of ghosts and jinn who ally with humans to mislead their beliefs.
Even more interestingly, this film also stars many great Malaysian actors such as Farid Kamil, Uqasha Senrose, Che Puan Juliana Evans, Mustaqim Bahadon Sherrie Merlis and Daniel Aqil’s younger brother.

Filming around January 2025 in several locations in Selangor, Munajjim: Sekutu Iblis is an original idea from Yusry Makmor himself along with Zafran Aziz and Rozita Mat Isa.
Meanwhile, Faizul A. Rashid stated that his script is not like a stereotypical horror film such as the appearance of a vampire or a ghost.
“This film features a deeper and more realistic horror blended with cinematic visuals and a strong storyline full of messages. “We believe this film will not only provide a satisfying cinematic experience, but also invite viewers to think about the dangers and reality of superstitious practices in life that still occur today,” he said.

Munajjim: Sekutu Iblis in collaboration with giant TGV, internationally distributed by D’Ayu Pictures through the promotional support of Empire Solutions will meet audiences and rock cinemas nationwide on 31 July 2025.
