In this sequel to “Penunggang Agama,Amir and Anna’s lives are further complicated when Huda, harboring a longstanding grudge, begins to disrupt their peace. Concurrently, a distressing event unfolds: Anim, a student in Anna’s Quran study class, vanishes mysteriously just after returning home from her lesson. Anim’s distraught parents seek out Amir and Anna’s assistance to locate their missing child.
Meanwhile, Amir finds himself increasingly absorbed by his side job as a healer of spiritual afflictions, drawn by the substantial rewards it offers. His success in curing his patients gains widespread attention on social media, which emboldens him to comfortably adopt the title of Ustaz. His transformation is not just in title but in appearance too, as he begins to consistently wear a white robe and a songkok.
The situation takes a more complex turn with the arrival of Father Michael, a priest who is also searching for the missing Anim. Father Michael’s presence challenges Amir’s ego and credibility. Suspicious of the priest, Amir believes Father Michael may have a hidden agenda. Amidst these tensions, the central question arises: What is the connection between Anim’s disappearance and Huda’s old vendetta?
