BOPENG

SYNOPSIS

Bo (Nabil Ahmad) and Peng (Johan As’ari) are two best friends who live together and work at the same fast food restaurant, Opiel Secret Pizza. Peng is known for his friendly and approachable attitude when taking pizza orders from customers, while Bo is renowned for his speed and efficiency in delivering pizzas. One day, Peng receives a call from a regular customer, Mira Idora Senrose (Zulin Aziz). While walking alone in a parking area, Mira Idora is followed by an unidentified man and calls Peng for help. Peng tries to come up with ideas and gives Mira instructions to escape, but the call is abruptly cut off, and Peng fails to reconnect with her.

Moved by a sense of humanity, Peng asks Bo to accompany him to report the mysterious disappearance of Mira Idora Senrose to the police. However, the police are unable to act due to a lack of information about Mira Idora’s disappearance. After leaving the police station, they return to Opiel Secret Pizza. Peng receives another call from Mira claiming she has been kidnapped and thrown into a car trunk.

Terrified and crying, Mira Idora pleads with Peng to save her. Drawing on knowledge from crime novels he has read, Peng instructs Mira to turn on the brake lights and stick her hand out of the trunk. Meanwhile, Bo shows Peng a video from Instagram of someone waving their hand from the trunk of a car, convinced it is Mira. The police also receive the same video and suspect it is related to Mira Idora’s kidnapping. With the police’s help, Mira pours paint on the road to make it easier for them to track her. Unfortunately, Based (Sofi Jikan), the kidnapper, becomes aware of the paint after being alerted by another driver about the spill from the car.
